About Pandu Laut On the first of April 2018, we launched Pandu Laut Nusantara in Pangandaran. Three months later, on the 15th July 2018 we inaugurated this community in Jakarta. Pandu Laut Nusantara (meaning the Nusantara or Archipelagic Sea Scouts) a community of people who believe in and want the sea to be the future of the nation, as these words are not just a slogan. We are not affiliated with any political party, ethnicity, or belief. We are open to anyone who volunteers and has a mutual awareness of protecting and caring for Indonesian seas. We hope that small movements, education, campaigns, and even small actions can have a big impact in the future. We care for damaged marine ecosystems through mangrove conservation actions and beach clean-up actions. We hope that the threat of marine biota extinction can be anticipated by the re-release of endangered species. We also hope the boat-sharing action can raise the welfare of small fishermen. Pandu Laut/Sea Scouts are the eyes, ears and voice of the sea. Support our small steps and join as protectors of Indonesian oceans. Warmest Regards Susi Pudjiastuti Founder and CEO of Pandu Laut Nusantara Susi Pudjiastuti Founder and CEO of Pandu Laut Nusantara Susi founded Pandu Laut Nusantara in mid-2018. In August 2020, Susi directly led Pandu Laut as General Chairman/CEO. The story of Susi and the sea began almost 40 years ago. Susi started as a fish trader in 1983 in Pangandaran. The business, which originally began with Susi selling fish by bicycle, developed into a fish processing factory PT ASI Pudjiastuti Marine Product in 1996. In 2014, Susi was entrusted with the role of Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries in the Working Indonesian Cabinet of Joko Widodo and Jusuf Kalla. She is famous for the jargon of “Sink them”. During his tenure, a total of 558 fishing vessels were sunk, mainly foreign vessels. Susi also prohibits the use of fishing gears that damage the environment, such as cantrang, drag nets and trawlers. The export of lobster seeds was also not allowed in the Susi Pudjiastuti era. These policies have received appreciation and awards at national and international levels. Pandu Laut Nusantara is a forum initiated by Susi to continue campaigning for the sea as well the nation's future. Clean sea campaigns from plastic waste, mangrove conservation activities, saving rare biota, to ship-sharing actions are only a few of the programs carried out by Susi together with Pandu Laut Nusantara. Susi Pudjiastuti Founder and CEO of Pandu Laut Nusantara Funding Pandu Laut Nusantara's funding support comes from Ms. Susi Pudjiastuti, her companies, and individual donations from various cities in Indonesia. Pandu Laut Nusantara benefits not only from contributions in the form of cash, but also from the contribution of goods and services. Pandu Laut Nusantara is also open to accepting cash contributions, goods and services from foundations, organizations and individuals from outside Indonesia. For more information about the celebrity supporters of Pandu Laut Nusantara, please contact Mayang. E-MAIL WHATSAPP Limit Using Fins When Diving in Banda Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries @susipudjiastuti appealed to tourists to limit the use of fins or frog legs when diving in the waters of the Banda Islands, Central Maluku Regency, Maluku Province, to avoid damage to coral reefs. "When diving in Banda at a depth of five to 10 meters, tourists should not use fins, especially large ones, because corals that are stepped on by frog legs will break," Minister Susi regretted using large fins in coral reef areas that are less than five meters deep. If a diver steps on a reef, he won't be able to drown... Mrs. Susi's message is to protect our coral reefs and don't destroy them.. Don't step on them. If you are lazy to swim in the sea, you don't have to go down to the water. What will happen to Indonesia if the people are still not aware of waste? In accordance with the words of Kaka Slank @fishgod "If you like slank songs and are inspired by slank songs, you are also inspired to take care of nature" let's start with ourselves, if not us, who else? Ridho Hafiedz @ridho_hafiedz invites you to come on July 15 2018 at CFD in front of Menara BCA. This event will invite us to protect Indonesian seas and chat with @SusiPudjiastuti115, @SandiUno @FishGod @ridho_hafiedz @Bustarblue and Brahmantya Satyamurti. Hello Marine Friends.. Want to know more about the sea? Let's join the Pandu Laut Nusantara event! Together we will discuss about the sea with Minister @susipudjiastuti115, Kaka and Ridho Slank, as well as other Ocean rangers at the CFD HI Jakarta Roundabout, Sunday 15 July 2018. Save the date and make it fun!😁 They've started, you wanna join? Because the Indonesian sea is ours together. Let's protect our sea! If you say sis @kiranalarasati Let's start reducing the use of plastic. Don't let our oceans have more plastic waste than fish. As @ibnujamilo said Indonesia is a maritime country and we as citizens must protect the Indonesian seas. @ridho_hafiedz invites us to be responsible for our waste Dirty seas are the result of us still littering we have to love the sea like we love our girlfriends - @fishgod Come on, share your photos while cleaning the beach and tag @bluesinblue.id as your real action to protect the sea. Sahabat Bahari, August 19, 2018 is there an event yet? If not, let's "Facing the Sea" together with Minister @susipudjiastuti115, @fishgod, @ridho_hafiedz, @andienaisyah, @hamishdw, @kiranalarasati and others, to clean up marine debris at 73 points throughout Indonesia. Minister Susi will be in Bitung, where are you?😊 Hello Sea Scout Friends In order to welcome Indonesia's 73rd birthday, Ms. Susi Pudjiastuti invited her friends to face the sea together at 73 points in Indonesia to take care of the sea from the garbage that pollutes Indonesia's seas. For those of you who don't live in coastal areas, don't worry, Mrs. Susi Pudjiastuti invites you to look for the nearest lake or river so that you can help protect the sea for the sake of your beloved Indonesia. Said Kaka Slank @fishgod If you want to see fish, go straight to the sea, not coral reefs and fish are moved to the aquarium Indonesian President @jokowi closed his speech at the @ourocean2018 event in Nusa Dua, Bali With beautiful poetry. The video above is an excerpt from the poem. "Don't turn your back on the sea anymore, look at him. Embrace him with your heart. Make him your friend, a friend who will give life to you, to your grandchildren, to your great-grandchildren. The sea is not a divider. man." During the two days of @ourocean2018, 287 marine management commitments worth USD 10.7 billion were created. This commitment came from various countries, the private sector, and support from non-profit organizations. Because the sea is the future of the nation. That's it, sis. 3 days to the activity "Facing the Sea 2.0".. Have you prepared yourself? Come on! Be a part of this movement by following in the footsteps of @aurelie who will be present at the Tanjung Bayang Beach location point, Makassar. Our VISION Pandu Laut Nusantara maintains and cares for our oceans so that they are always rich, healthy, and abundant like they used to be. Pandu Laut Nusantara strives to make our oceans more and more diverse and abundant by winning policies in Indonesia that regulate the entirety of Indonesia's marine life. Pandu Laut Nusantara was founded in 2018,it is an independent collective movement that does not conflict with Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution. It is not affiliated with any particular political party, ethnicity and belief, and is open to all levels of community based on volunteers who have a common awareness to protect and care for the Indonesian seas. The sea is the future of the nation. It makes up two thirds of our country. The ocean covers 70 percent of Indonesia's territory, and to us it is just as important as its size. Thousands of species of fish and marine biota live in Indonesian water, from local fish to rare ones. The ocean provides a livelihood for Indonesian fishermen. Indonesia's oceans feed millions of people and have the capacity to provide healthy seafood every day. The abundance of marine resources is a double-edged sword. It brings blessings but can also be disastrous. Indonesian fishery products are tempting in the eyes of the world. It is our collective duty to protect it. Caring for the ocean means protecting resources for our children and grandchildren. Pandu Laut Nusantara is dedicated to caring for, preserving and restoring the oceans of Indonesia. The Problem Indonesia's oceans are vast, but not immune to human influence. Human behavior has damaged marine ecosystems and pushed millions of year old species to the brink of extinction. According to a study published in Science, less than 4 percent of the ocean remains unaffected by human activities. Pandu Laut Nusantara was created to identify practical solutions and make the solutions happen. The good news is that we can return the oceans to their former glory. Campaign Based Pandu Laut Nusantara channels resources into strategic and targeted campaigns to achieve measurable outcomes that will care for, protect and restore Indonesia's oceans to their former levels of abundance and cleanliness. Look Fact Based Pandu Laut believes in the importance of science in identifying problems and solutions for the oceans. Look
